"Despite Everything" film collects awards

The film "Despite Everything" was awarded in four different categories. At the "Golden Palm Awards Ceremony" held at Raffles Hotel, awards were given to Erkan Petekkaya in the categories of "Best Film Script", "Best Film" and "Best Actor in Cinema" and Barbara Sotelsek in the categories of "Best Foreign Actress in Cinema" for her role in the film. İlhan Doğan and Erkan Petekkaya, whose life was the subject of the film, received the awards together. İlhan Doğan, who took the stage to receive the "Best Film" and "Best Film Screenplay" awards at the ceremony attended by Erkan Petekkaya's wife Didem Petekkaya, said "I am very happy to receive these awards in my country. Today is also a very important day. As you saw in the film, our childhood was not very good. The thing that motivated me the most during those times were the songs and films of my dear elder Orhan Gencebay. I am honoured to be together with him here today."
